About Ashtha

Our work at Aastha speaks for itself. We commit ourselves to helping people in the poverty-stricken communities improve their lives. We believe that unselfish love should lead to kind actions, and it is this sort of 'doing good deeds' that we want people to associate with Aastha.

They may have been methodical but we are musical They may be wise but we are whimsical They want to stomp on our kindness so we stampede on our own kins They want to pacify and specify us into sartorial antipathy And have us sign a form to disavow the signs of empathy.

Mission

Aastha is a non-profitable organization, with a mission to elevate the living conditions of the vulnerable people in our society. Aastha is supporting the government in achieving the sustainable development goals (SDGs) by directly contributing in 10 out of 17 goals.

We aim to assist seniors who are abandoned by their loved ones and help slum children, orphans, and children with rare disabilities. We take proper steps to provide them skill development and training, which in turns provides them a respectable way of living. We are giving special attention to girls and women, as well as education for both boys and girls. We believe that empowering people to earn their own means of living provides them an opportunity to evolve as a better citizen. It increases their awareness on a range of issues - from healthcare and appropriate social behavior to understanding one's rights.

Like slavery and apartheid, poverty is not natural. It is man-made and it can be overcome and eradicated by the actions of human beings. And overcoming poverty is not a gesture of charity. It is an act of justice. It is the protection of a fundamental human right, the right to dignity and a decent life.
